although I should post this in the serch engines topic I think it is interesting for many:
What is SE friendlier: using frames or using a redirection entry page?

Neither are very SE friendly.

Search engines today have no real problem with frames, provided you do it properly, and they are a great seo tool. Redirections I don't know.

Search engines certainly do have a problem with frames. They don't spider the content inside a frame. And iFrames are even more evil. And spiders REALLY hate redirect commands on a page. You can do redirects from the htaccess file and they are search engine friendly.

My ISP does not allow htaccess or SSI or perl - or cgi scripts. How can I have a redirect without a javascript or a meta refresh tag?

>>They don't spider the content inside a frame

What exactly does this mean? My frames site is fully spidered and indexed, ranks out of sight, and rakes it in. Note I said provided you do it properly.
