I vote for them too....... that's a SHOCKER!

Can you have 8 adsense ads on one page? They were all showing the exact same ads to me.

There are so many fun things to see on this site it's hard to pick one that really stands out, but I have to say that my favorite is:
quote:
See the 2nd Light Blue Box Below the Yellow Box to answer your frequently
    asked questions (FAQ's) about AdSense.

Groovy, man.

That IS pretty awful. The owner seems to have a good sense of humor about it, though. I see where a Blog has discussed this site - and it wasn't a favorable rating!

It reminds me of something you'd find on Geocities in 1998, and it's never been updated.

True Dynamoo, but once the visitor hits the site, what are the odds they'll get brain freeze or nod off before they find what they were looking for?

That's a wild website. Funny he is in Houston not far from where I live. I wonder with all the press and traffic how much he makes from adsense if he ever has real visits. But being ranked #1 in google is better than I can do right now. I may have to pay him a visit and report back to all here.

Because of placement in google, I bet he makes a fair amount of money off of those adsense ads. I suppose that also leads one to a new question, which is, would an unreasonably long web page help you in the search engine rankings for terms in the page?

Could I rank #1 for 'internet casinos' if I created a 20 page site and stuffed it all onto one incredibly long page?
Following everyone else is a GREAT way to become average.

Hmmm. The wheels are turning. Nice way to steer some traffic clear from certain black holes near the Pacific Ocean.

No way; it doesn't have his signature mix of Ashford, WorldOfWatches and Tigerdirect banners, peppered with fourteen OS DRM's.

I think this could work. I planned to create a dozen pages for a merchant and began with one huge page. My last step was to split the large page into twelve smaller ones that were all cross-linked. I had to go out of town before finishing this project and returned to find the page ranked #1 on Google and lots of traffic. Upon dividing it up into 12 smaller pages the ranking of the first page dropped to number 9 postion in the SERPS.

You all ever see this site that converts another website's text into Redneck or Elmer Fudd and more...

I think it actually improves the party tent city site!!! Check it out:

In re: to the question about how that site got accepted by google..it may not have. The guy might have more than one site and been accepted by adsense that way.

Also, didn't google recently change their program to allow more than one block of adsense ads? But the problem was that they all run the same ads? Hence, that could be what is happening here.

Ugly or not, if it makes money, something is working.

I'm really surprised Google hasn't canned his adsense account... It looks like everything about the site (design and copy) tell the visitor to click the ads to go to his competition & get away from his site...

    But wait - there's more!

Was anyone brave enough to go right down to his links section?

I only clicked on one link - to a computer store - that site was just as bad as the tent site - I think I'm emotionally scarred for life
