    Art Linkletter - RIP
Art Linkletter died today, a few weeks short of his 98th birthday.

You whippersnappers may not know him, but us ancient types remember him well from the 1950s and 60s when he ruled daytime TV with House Party, People Are Funny, and Kids Say the Darndest Things.

MrsHound appeared on Kids Say the Darndest Things when she was 5 years old. She does not remember the experience fondly.

Wow, that's sad. He will be missed.

My favorite question he used to ask on the Kids show was "What did your mommy and daddy tell you not to say on TV?" which always produced some great answers.

He brought so much joy and laughter into the world! Yet he suffered great tragedy with the death of his daughter, Diane. May he RIP.

One of my 9th grade teachers married one of his sons
I am old enough to remember watching his TV shows, many many times. When I was in the 9th grade, one of my teachers married one of his sons. RIP
