Do Brands matter with SSL Certificates?
Hi guys. I have a question.

Do you feel that the actual brand of the company offering an SSL certificate matters? Are some brands more recognized than others and therefore instill more shopper confidence than the next brand over?

I think more people are focused on the address bar now than the logo they may find at the bottom of a page.

They look for the Red or Green address bar and or the https://

    free cert offers same encryption
I don't think so. I have a *free* SSL certificate and it has the same (sometimes more) protection than I see when I am connected to web sites using SSL. I got it from http://www.startssl.com

If you want to pay for an SSL cert, consider the RapidSSL from NameCheap.com
    http://www.namecheap.com/learn/other...e-rapidssl.asp
If you only pay for one year, it is $10.95. It is a single root cert, so is a little easier to install than a cert with an Intermediate (Chained) Certificate. GL
