Question VenueID to readable text [Ticketmaster]
    Hey all,

I'm sure this is an easy trick to get round but I feel like I'm bashing my head against a brick wall Is there a way to automatically change the venueid into readable text?
I would like to do it via excel as I'm splicing a few more datafeeds with the ticketmaster one but I'm open to any method that you can suggest.

    Thanks for your time

Really depends on what you are trying to do...

Are you trying to match the venue id to a venue name or specific piece of venue information?

If so, I strongly recommend using the Venue Feed from the Product Feed section of the buy.at interface. It can be used to cross reference ID's to various pieces of venue info.

If you are trying to do something else can you elaborate?

As always, please feel free to message me directly via email

    Thank you Charlie
    Hey Charlie,

Thanks for the info. I managed to get a solution to solve this. I used the Venue feed to cross reference like you mentioned and then through excel use vlookup function to change all those VenueID's into the correct venue names.

I must say your really quick to respond especially compared Ticketmaster themselves. Still waiting for a reply (although now it's not needed) for about a week now.

    Anyways, thanks again

    Hi Macpaulos,

    Just came across your post.

Its probably worth you having a read through a quick document I wrote on integrating the TM feeds which explains the link between the various feeds and how to get them working in tandem in your database.

Its UK biased but you should be able to get the gist as the 2 programmes are very very similair.

    I've attached the file below.

    Hope that helps!

    Thanks

    Thanks for the document
    Hey Simon,

Thanks for providing the PDF. This all makes much more sense now and also provided some good ideas on other things to integrate.

At the moment I'm using Joomla (although I'm quite a novice) with a paid import plugin that takes a datafeed and allows me to style everything which is great for SEO.
