I was checking my website stats at Google and there was a link I didn't recognize so I clicked it. It took me to another website where my URL was posted through an old ppc ad... funny it was still active there.
As soon as I got there, I got a pop up box that said :
FIND THE BEST DEAL ON %2BWWW.MYDOMAIN.COM
CLICK THE FIND BARGAINS BUTTON NOW
to instantly search the top 21 bargain sites online for %2Bwww.mydomain.com
Powered by: My Bargain Network
Is that a parasite? Is the affiliate running that site the parasite or is My Bargain Network targeting keywords?
That site has a link exchange box at the bottom, but I never exchanged links with them. My URL is from an old ad that is no longer active. Who in their right mind would want to exhange links with a parasite or traffic stealer?
I should add that I visited My Bargain Network. There isn't much there. Their affiliate program pays $1 for each registered user. I guess those that run websites that display search results make money by diverting the traffic elsewhere.
