    Wordpress Posts Ending in Double Slashes
    I just installed WP for a domain and edited the permalinks to custom structure to /%postname%/ , which I have done on all of my other WP sites.

    When I hover over a post URL, I see something like this...

    http:// www (.) mysite (.) com/my-post-title//

    I have no idea where that extra / is coming from.

    The structure is domain.com/category/posttitle/ with additional subcategories sandwiched in if used. So domain.com/category// might correspond to an unnamed post? At any rate, you should see your category as part of the URL, even if it is "uncategorized".

    No, if Seymour has set up the permalink structure as /%postname%/ which is what he indicated above, the category WON'T be part of the post, unless he put the /%postname%/ in that "Category base" field below the "Custom Structure" field.

    If that mistake was made, it may be related to the "//" problem. I dunno.

    I ended up editing the index.php and single.php. Both had an extra forward slash defined like this..
    Code:
    <a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>/"

    Wow. That's really odd.

    Seymour, I gotta say this -- between all the hassle you've had with that EXEC-PHP plugin, and now these odd issues with templates, URLs, etc. -- well, uh, are you sure you really want to blog??

    All of these issues are really not that big of a deal. Each time I setup a new WP and come across a problem, I search for my threads in this forum and usually find my solution from the past.
