I haven't watched Letterman since I was in high school, back around 90-92... I don't remember him being that creepy.

She really is 17 too... she's lived her life in the spotlight. She can be annoying, but I think she is one of the smartest teen stars out there.

Other than her views about twitter of course, lol.

I disagree. I think her views about Twitter are spot-on, from her point of view. For us, Twitter makes perfect sense and we use it to further ourselves (most of us, anyway ). For someone in her position, with the career she has, with the means she already has to give and receive... I think she's right: Twitter is a waste of time for her.

I can't believe I'm agreeing with Miley Frickin' Cyrus. Someone slap me.

lol. *She* doesn't need to tweet, but her publicist can. Same with Letterman, Leno and Jimmy Fallon have a great twitter accounts, someone posts links to clips, updates and other useful stuff. I'm sure Jay isn't doing it himself.

It doesn't *have* to be an invasion of privacy. Brands use Twitter daily now in very useful ways. Celebs use it right and some wrong, she started out wrong

Actually, just finally listened to the interview... No sound at my office. I'm impressed with her maturity. Dave raises a good point though... Too soon?

She'll be 18 in November when she'll be an adult. I think she's prepping herself for that. I also think many 17 year olds try to act and look older today.

She's really smart and I think she handles herself better than most young starlets.

I can understand the kids not liking twitter. I'm not fussy for it myself because:
    a) it is just INFORMATION OVERLOAD!
    b) you can't *do* anything on twitter.com except read and write (sound like school?)
    c) it is much less personal than say facebook insofar as you are just on your own page the whole time, doing nothing...

    Basically, it's boooooring! lol

Although, I don't get why so many people think twitter (or FB) is "oh, I lost my lucky bracelet" and "oh, I found my lucky bracelet". Why does everyone think they have to be so superficial? They are great tools for sharing information, if it is the right kind of information... ("Next Tour Date, Michigan Sept 20th, get tickets here" might be a better use of twitter than "oh I found my bracelet"). But kids don't generally have that kind of "important" information to share...

When you're old you want to look young and when you're young you want to look old...And when you retire you don't have enough money to do anything fun and when you are young and working you don't have time to do anything fun.....life is so backwards.

My goodness, has she grown so quickly. Girls in show business don't stay young for very long. All the work and the late night parties. By the time they're 20, they look like they're 30.
