    API is done for
Did anybody else get an email regarding the discontinuation of the Ticketmaster API today? It seems they have killed it due to the merger, or at least that's what I thought it said, giving me exactly 0 minutes to deal with the issue.

Considering many people depend on the API, it seems rather crazy that they just killed the program without giving proper notice. While this is within their right, it seems rather harsh that Ticketmaster would kill the API without giving any notice to their affiliates. I am sure they new a long time ago, so the fact that they gave no warning is rather unprofessional.

Is this something that only affected me, or are others out there in the same boat?

Anybody got any input or advice on this situation? The API is a great product, I hope it comes back or this is resolved.

Did the email say it was down forever, or just give no info other than the fact they were killing it?

    Seems very strange.

Have they come up with some new amazing widget or something?

    Thats the strange part
That's the strange part. There is no mention of anything new. All it pretty much says is due to our merger and new data sharing policy, access is being cut. No mention of a replacement, of a new program, nothing which seemed very strange to me.

I hope they offer some kind of replacement. It is a great program, and a great service beneficial to larger sites and Ticketmaster. The affiliate program has always been great and the people who run it super helpful, I hope this is just a small bump in the road.

I did not receive that email, but I don't use the API so maybe that is why.

Any Buy.at people here care to comment on whether Live Nation purchases will be credited now that they are integrated into the Ticketmaster interface? The clicks track on the way in, but I'd like to know before I waste any time whether the orders are credited or not.

We are currently working with Ticketmaster to get our transaction pixel working on the Livenation check out page.

With that said, we are working on it, it is not complete yet.

But we are indeed working to make sure there is no leakage in this program and that our affiliates get paid for all transactions, TM or LN.

More to come in the coming days.
