    Datafeed Filename Changes After Unzipping
    I understand the change GAN implemented to zip the datafeed files, but I don't understand the change in names after unzipping the files.

    Example 1:
    Shoes.com datafeed...

    Before Unzip ---> Shoescom.zip
    After Unzip ---> Shoescom.txt

    Example 2:
    ShoesSteal.com datafeed...

    Before Unzip ---> ShoesSteal.com.zip
    After Unzip ---> 21000000000182010_21000000000099999_catalog

    Is this specific to each merchant? Why does Shoes.com unzip to their programname and ShoeSteal.com unzip to <merchant ID>_<affiliate ID>_catalog?

    What on Earth?

    I checked 3 and they all are like your example 2. I have it indicated to send by Advertiser ID, but don't know if that would matter.

    They sent me one for Bellacor Friday and I am not even subscribed to their feed.

    Hey Seymour, I'm seeing the same problem. All the rest of my feeds are following your second (ShoeSteal) example, with the long numerical identifiers, but Shoes.com still is unzipping to the txt file. A few days I got this response from publisher support:

    This is a technical issue which our Engineering Teams are working on resolving.
    Hopefully it's resolved soon... it's kind of messing up some programming that was (perhaps poorly) built around having consistent file names and file formats.

    That's good to know. It's not poor programming. All programming I know of is based on rules of consistency.

    Still no response from Publisher Support on this. Now been 3 weeks without a usable datafeed file. I'm sure shoes dot com is really happy about this.

    The shoes.com feed is usable if you rename it and use option 12 for categories and i think manufacturer for brands, my site is working fine with it now.Seems alot of GAN merchants made changes to the colume fields and the length of the buy URL( which i had to increase the number of chars), without telling affiliates which made me really mad and took a while to figure out but it seems all the data is in the feed and working if u pick the right fields in the feed.

    This is a dumb question... but how do I change the file type from txt to "File", the generic file type of the other GAN feeds?
