A post by Cheesehead about a low $ amount check got me thinking about how many un-cashed affiliate checks may be floating around out there...

I have a few accounts on several dfferent networks that only make a few dollars a month. Yes, I am guilty of shredding or throwing-out these checks from time to time. It is not really worth setting up direct deposit for these networks. Assuming I am not the only one doing this - how much money do you think is left in the networks pockets every year (after the 6 months period is up and the check is void)? There is the potential that the number is quite high.

Gotta run to the bank to deposit 5 checks totalling $16.73. Woo-hoo! Better off in my account then theirs...
