I just received an email that cracks me up...

The message is actually a .jpg, I didn't change it except to remove the link.

    They almost had me

My rule of thumb is this ...

If you see a link like "www.citibank.com/verify" ... right-click on it, and select "Copy Link Location"

Then open a program like Wordpad and paste the link. Chances are it'll be something like:

    http://www.402bkl.ne.zbr.com.citibank/verify

... if that's the case, never follow the link!

My rule of thumb is to delete the email and log into the account (whichever account) in the normal way, if there's anything to do, there'll be a big obvious link or message there - there never has been.
