    Beware, Datafeed filenames now change regularly
    My GAN datafeed parsing code relies on the datafeed zip files having consistent names that don't change. Unfortunately, it appears that the zip file names change frequently now-a-days. So for instance, here are some of the zip file name changes over the last couple of days:

    Sears.com.zip -> Sears_Holding_Corporation.zip
    PC_Connection.zip -> PC_Connection_Express.zip
    OfficeMax.zip -> Boise_Office_Solutions.zip
    Target.com.zip -> Target.zip
    streetbeatcustoms.zip -> Street_Beats_LLC.zip

    So, if you aren't careful, you will continue to process the old feed file name and ignore any updates as your prices and products get more and more stale.

    Another one...

    Chefs_Catalog.zip -> Chefs_CatalogPikes_Peak.zip

    Pikes Peak is their marketing firm... WTF is going on here???

    Also

    6ave.com.zip -> 6avecom.zip

    Not sure about datafeeds but I had a message saying that my subscription couldn't be ftp'd. Only thing is.. I don't get them via ftp. So I resaved my settings to get them by email. I'm only getting the subscriptions sporadically. I'm guessing there's a similar issue between the two?

    Just noticed my Link Subscriptions have some odd number added to the end of the file name as of June 29th.
    Link_Subscriptions_xxxxxx_06292010_1277801248355.txt
    Link_Subscriptions_xxxxxx_06302010_1277887571097.txt
    Today I get two files:
    Link_Subscriptions_xxxxxx_07012010_1277973974768.txt
    Link_Subscriptions_xxxxxx_07012010_1277996258357.txt

    The numbers on the end seem to be random, not sure how I"m going to adjust my code to find a name that changes repeatedly, especially if they are going to send multiple feeds each day.

    The GAN mod only seems to come here now for new program announcements. I can't remember them responding to any of the threads about the new feed problems. I'm still running the old feeds from prior to the troubles. Every time I get ready to convert to zip something like this comes up.

    I pm'd the mod directly about the name changes, didn't get an answer. This has been the buggiest datafeed transition I've ever seen. BTW, datafeed file names continue to change. Over the last few days for instance:

    Sears_Holding_Corporation.zip changed to Sears_com.zip then it changed to Searscom.zip

    I told the mod that I would like a reliable way to determine what program a feedfile is for. There seems to be so many bugs lately that there is no reliable mechanism. Even the datafeed file affiliate link format is changing....
