Good for the Woot people I'm sure. Not sure what the Woot community will think of it though. Pretty funny announcement video..lol

Thanks for the heads up. Woot is one of the sites I frequent... it's just so tempting.

The blog entry said that it shouldn't change anything much... so the model is going to stay.

It's clear how this would benefit Amazon and hopefully woot community will get better deals in the future.

Next target of Amazon might be Groupon.
I think Groupon is more popular than Woot!

My first thought was "not even close", but looking at the stats, they're rapidly getting there. It looks like Groupon has quadrupled their traffic in the past six months, pretty much closing the gap.

I like Groupon. They have some great deals for the New Orleans area.

To me, it's yet another case of... why? I mean, I know why, but... why? Must we live in a world wherein every company is owned by one of six mega corporations?

Daniel, I presume it was hard to refuse $110m, all in cash, on the table... so that's the virtual world we are going to live in for some time.

Yeah... I know. And if I owned Woot, I probably would have had a hard time turning it down, too. But I'd try, I honestly would.
