All,

Allow me to break through the clutter of parasites, Norton blocking, cookie stuffers and ill gotten awards to bring to your attention of a wrong done right!

I don't know if you all remember but there was a situation with www.shopping-bargains.com where they were advertising with 180 solutions and inadvertantly overwriting fellow affiliate links (see THIS thread for more information). In the thread Mike admitted that he had used 180 but wasn't aware of the cookie overwrite and wanted to fix the wrong that had happened. Members suggested that he donate the earnings to a good cause like the Cancer society and after speaking with Mike we agreed that that would be the best to do and in yesterday's mail I got confirmation of the following donations by Mike, the owner of shopping-bargains:

A gift in living honor of Walleye Warrior (in his real name of course) who has been fighting his cancer for years now.

A gift in remembrance of our beloved Don Council (obstinatedon)[/list]

I am very proud of Mike and his decision to ethically fix the wrong, I wish more people in our industry addressed issues head on and with such honesty as Mike did.

    WTG MIKE!
    Continued Success,

    Haiko

I really don't know what to say except a big thanks for your donation.

I was going to post to privately to Haiko to let Mike know how much I felt about his donation,
I saw this post and it brought me to tears knowing it was donated as such.
But Mike deserves my public acknowledgement about his act of kindness.

I think in a small way, when I first posted about things it was to get some things off my chest about the cancer, never for sympathy.

Many people suffer from this horrible disease with little fanfare and not telling many people they are even sick.

Maybe it was something predestined that my postings would raise enough awareness for deeds such as this to happen.
Would this donation be made elsewhere without my story being made pubic,I don't know. Talking about things straight on has probably opened my eyes to how much good is inside many of us. It just takes something like this for people to notice.
I will hit 46 Monday almost 4 years from my first diagnosis. The drs said I shouldn't be here still. Someone won't let me go yet

Modern medicine will eventually find the cure, so yes, you can help make a difference!!!

As I have said before don't feel sorry for me.
I have had to witness very young children having to suffer as I see them walking around with chemo treatment bottles stuck in their arms.
Just make a difference for them!!!

Kudos to Mike and even more so because he took a course of action that obviously meant very much to this community personally.

Mike has set a standard for others to follow in the industry.

It's good to see the positive things being reported to the community. It's so easy to become overwhelmed with the not so good things.

Maybe this thread should be pinned for a while.

Very nice to hear Shopping-bargains Mike come up with a nice PR move to offset getting into the 180Solutions trap. Nice choice for named ABWers on that Cancer Society check.

    Mike,

What a wonderful gesture! I can't come up with anything better than what has already been said in this thread.

Thank you for showing the world that there are still people out there who want to do the right thing.

    WTG Mike.

Had there been a donation link I would chuck in a few quid myself (that's make a contribution for those of you not from the north of England )
