I've got a friend who manages a daily student newspaper at a university. He's just starting to learn about affiliate marketing, so I told him I'd help point him in the right direction.
Besides looking at programs on the big retail networks, I'm wondering if anyone knows of any smaller networks that might be particularly applicable to college students.

He needs to look for appropriate merchants, then find the network they are one. Is he looking to add affiliate links to the newspaper site? There are a ton of merchants that target that demographic... across all the retail networks.Deborah Carney

You could have him market math, english, and physics books. Ebay/Amazon books like "Calculus for Dummies", "Physics for Dummies", etc.
Or market ipods, electronics, computer games, and music related items.
Somehow, I think the latter group might prove to be more popular & profitable! This World is Not My Home
