I first became aware of the ad blocking problem form a post by an affiliate manager. I know a few people were working on a solution. I'd like to help get a solution to this crap ASAP. Remember we will be hitting the holiday shopping season soon....Will Norton/Symantec Be a Scrooge??
    Thanks,
    Doug

Good question. I wonder how many folks are moving to independant programs to that they don't end of with qksrv and linksyn*ergy links all over thier sites - just because of the Norton issue?

It is non-issue, simple header redirects avoid text blocking.

    just one of many solutions.

    My contribution:

    1. I am moving to independents as I find them or encourage and assist them in developing there own program without MyAffilate, CJ, Kowa whatever, but there OWN program.

    2. I have modified and customized software that assists me in combating the Norton/Parasite issues.

    3. I am increasing my stock and selling more of my own items.

    4. For a fee I am assisting others to maintain a site that is capable of combating the current issues.

I won't build sites using WebMerge for network programs, but there are certainly enough indies to keep anybody busy. I know we have "talked this to death", but if you have a site with network links they better be cloaked or redirected or Christmas will not be a happy time for you this year. There have been lots of solutions posted in the forums, both paid and free and if you aren't using SOMETHING you are losing.

It just takes research and more work.

Also, what SandraR said, I am promoting more of my OWN products and don't plan to rely solely on affiliate program income now or in the future. I have serious doubts as to the effectiveness of cookies to track referrals, much more of a problem than Norton ad blocking at this point. We have a way around ad blocking, but if people block cookies we are S-O-L.
