Has anyone ever seen this before at the bottom of the page when doing a search?

"In response to a complaint we received under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have removed 1 result(s) from this page. If you wish, you may read the DMCA complaint for these removed results."

The link it to this website http://www.chillingeffects.org/

I've seen it before, but it's been a while.

I vaguely recall something about some religious organization the last time who had a case against another website.

Maybe somebody can kick in extra detail, but the chillingeffects site is a decent read if you have some spare time.

    I've caused one to happen.

Had a guy ripping off my website. He refused to remove my content, his host would do nothing, so I filed a DMCA complaint.

After investigation they removed all of his pages from Google that contained my content. Everywhere his stuff used to show up on Google, that message was there instead.

Downside is, the idiot STILL has my content up two years later. Upside is no one is finding it through Google.

They do link through to my complaint - an original scan of my fax that is on chillingeffects. Anyone can read the details and decide for themselves
