    Hey:

Does anyone know if this is part of the huntbar parasite. It is in my windows folder:

    wtools
    wtoolsa
    wtooldc.cfg

I got rid of it for a couple of months and now I started to get pop ups in the last day - but I cannot find wintools, btlink etc in the registry, so I am wondering if its using another name.

if someone can help me get rid of this.

    Cheers,

    sharon

I believe that is part of WinTools parasite (not to be confused with legit WinTools). They tend to change file names. It is put out by the same folks as huntbar (IBIS).

And good luck getting rid of it. My version had 4 exe's running at all times that you could not kill. Couldn't clean them while they were running. Eventually made my browser inopertable. I finally booted in safe mode, deleted the exe's, then went back and cleaned up from there.

    Good luck!

Kick the matter up with your State legislature. Seems like your experience, duplicated by millions of others, is what their new law is trying to fight. Raise holly Hell with your local senate rep.
