The multi-touch, multi channel business has always been a thorn in the side of affiliate marketing. Some additional Google Analytics script has come out that might help identify the true value of any given channel in a sale:
Does it finalize the "last click wins" debate? No.
Does it have a direct and immediate impact on affiliate marketing? No.
But what it DOES do is give analysts the ability to understand multi-channel sales better, and perhaps make better educated decisions about channel priorities in the future.
This is a technology that was out of reach for a lot of businesses prior to this. So it could be a game changer in a lot of ways.

Are you running it yet, any feedback. I looked through the docs and was all okay up to the point of the actual reporting where it states -
To create Multitouch Analytics reports, you will need to install the Perl WWW::Analytics::MultiTouch package from CPAN.
You will need a working Perl installation. Then use CPAN to install the package and its dependencies, as:
perl -MCPAN -e 'install WWW::Analytics::MultiTouch'
