    Wordpress Update After Successful Update?
I updated my site to WP3.01 last week and all went well using the Wordpress Automatic Upgrade plugin. Now this week, I see under Dashboard>Updates a #1 inside a red dot.

When I click on Updates link, it has this information on the page. I wonder why it keeps telling me there is an update on the dashboard when I lave the latest version installed.

You have the latest version of WordPress.

You have the latest version of WordPress. You do not need to update. However, if you want to re-install version 3.0.1, you can do so automatically or download the package and re-install manually:

    <Re-install Automatically> <Download 3.0.1>

While your site is being updated, it will be in maintenance mode. As soon as your updates are complete, your site will return to normal.

    Plugins
Your plugins are all up to date.

    Themes

Did you update with the built in WP utility or the old update plugin?

I have that still installed on one blog but it's disabled. I just use the built in upgrade in the later versions of WP and it works without a hitch.

I was on v2.9, but I don't remember seeing the built in upgrader. I probably missed it.

    I was sweating bullets
I was sweating bullets after this last WP upgrade. It took me 4 tries. Did anyone else have this issue?

If you download the files for the new version to your computer hard drive the "alert" will go away. I think it is to make you have a back up copy.
