I had to use a different email address than the one I usually use to sign up for these type of things. Start new with a different email.

R7: I wondered who that was

I used my existing account with no problems. Maybe the invites are used up?

Maybe I had a preexisting account that I never used and forgot about?
    Maybe that was my problem?
I couldn't use my preferred name and I couldn't use the email address I usually use for sign ups so created something new.

Try a different browser. I was unable to register using IE. Switched to Firefox and signed up without a problem.

(Also had an old account but was unable to log in. I now wonder if it was a browser issue?)

do you use your facebook account or a pseudonym?

I use facebook to keep in touch with friends and family. Not sure whether to go that way with digg or to hide behind a pseudonym.

Hey there...thanks for the info. Digg seems cool to actually be able to extract members from twitter.....I hope it can be done with other sites.....
