    Odd Form Submission Problem
    ASP.net platform, styled combination of CSS and Tables.

    Here's the deal:

    I built and styled a web form into an ASP.Net page, and on submission, data was being written into a database table. All 10 fields (4 required) worked great.

    So then, stylistically, I decided to make it 2 columns as opposed to one, so I dropped half of the form into a second DIV. I don't believe I changed anything else.

    Suddenly, on submit, the data in second column doesn't pass to the database table, but the form is completed successfully, and it passes to the confirmation page.

    Any thoughts?

    Did you use CSS to position the DIV or did you use a second column? (your title includes Tables) I have read some articles about ASP.NET 2.0 wrapping hidden FORM objects in DIVs could that be breaking your form? It's tough to say without seeing your code. I would make sure that your FORM tags are outside of both DIVs:

    <FORM>
    <DIV style="float:left">
    Left FORM Objects
    </DIV>
    <DIV style="float:right">
    Right FORM Objects
    </DIV>
    </FORM>

    Also, how are you performing your validation? Is it an onclick event in the DIV? It sounds like your validation is firing correctly but your form doesn't see the second column's FORM objects.

    Sorry - more questions than answers...
