    Firefox LinkEngine
How in the world did I miss this little gem at buy.at? I was actually creating a deep link and hit the wrong tab and ended up installing the Firefox LinkEngine. I tested it out and it was awesome! I was surfing around the Ghirardelli site and landed on the "thank you gift" page. I hit the little buy.at logo on my toolbar and it generated a link with my tracking information.

This is absolutely wonderful for those of us who like to link to a category page or product without having to go the whole way through the buy.at interface. Thank you!!!!

Tricia - thanks for the great feedback and we're glad to hear you found this tool so helpful!

For anyone else who's interested, there's a bit more information about it here: http://www.abestweb.com/forums/showthread.php?t=129898

Wow - why didn't I see this before? It is cool, indeed. I just downloaded and installed the "link engine" and tried it. Slick - no need for further description.

Will this work for any merchant in your system?

    Thanks Bill

Yes, this will work for any merchant in our system, with a few caveats:

If you try to create a deeplink…
    • and the item isn't commissionable (which is the case for some products), it will tell you the deep link is not valid
    • for a program that you’re not signed up for yet – the popup contains a link through to the Management Area to let you apply
    • for a site that’s not connected with the buy.at network – you’ll receive a message telling you the deeplink is not available

    Hope this helps!
