New tool I am creating. Need opinions
    Hello everyone,

So I have been thinking and I thought of a very useful tool for affiliate marketers to help create meaningful urls for free. I know that there are plug ins and tools to make your own url modifier, but I will create a web application that everyone can use for free.

For example, an ugly url like http://example.com/q?=324323423.cgi?/

    would become http://iwou.ld/like-to-recommend-google

(Note: I know .ld isn't an extension but i don't want to tell the domain name i will buy )

I know custom url shorteners already exist, but would anyone use mine to create meaningful affiliate urls? it would definitely be free.

Probably not. I can set one up tomorrow, oh wait I already have it on several domains.

You would need to get people to trust you, offer something the current url shorteners don't, prove you have reliable servers and their links won't die when your server goes offline or you close up shop.

Anyone with a Wordpress blog can make their own short links, and the other services are well known and established.

It would be a very tough nut to crack.

    Hey thanks for responding.

I understand that there are a lot of URL shorteners and plug ins to shorten URLs for owned websites, but would a affiliate marketer find a domain hack such as "iwou.ld" more attractive and therefore use it over conventional url shorteners?

I can't answer that, but the points I made are the points most people, affiliates included, would consider more than a catchy url.

trust is the key issue - starting off gaining trust is not easy at all.
