I have a fair amount of success with people coming to my site with genealogy in mind, so I thought I'd join Genealogy.com through CJ.

Their numbers looked pretty good -- $2.62 EPC, charge-back percent of 0.00%.

Then I dug deeper. Their chargeback % was 0.00% for November and December, but August, September, and October were an incredible 100%.

Why could this be? Are the November chargebacks just not in yet, or did they truly reinvent themselves?

I'm not going to gamble on them, but I'm curious if this is a loophole in CJ's merchant info screen, that the chargeback % is not synchronized with the merchant's policies.

Actually, I think this may be a CJ site-wide problem; as I checked another genealogy site, they too showed 100% chargebacks for July, August, & September.

CJ nearly scared me away from a merchant. I can't believe that's good for their business.
