All Posts Gone From My Blog (Update - Solved)
So I go to one of my sites and notice all my posts are gone. Login and see:

    Content
    0 Posts
    0 Pages
    26 Categories

    Discussion
    28 Comments
    0 Approved
    0 Pending
    28 Spam

If I click on Spam or Comments, nothing there.

Now I can go to the left column under posts and click Categories and go to Category Page. I see my Categories name - description - slug - posts and under posts, it has the number of posts I made for each category. Click on that and then nothing.

Anybody know what might be going on?

Check if any of the latest plugins you installed did something. Disable pretty much all of your plugins one at a time and check after each one.

Tried that nothing. But this is weird. Tried a new post and instead of a publish button, have a Submit For Review button

High traffic site? I wonder why that happened with the overhead load.

Glad you fixed it quickly. Nice job and thanks for the heads up.

    Very good information, thanks, Trust.

BTW -- I just went through 20 sites with WP installed and did the "overhead" repair stuff. I noticed something interesting. Some plugins seem to build up WAY more "overhead" than others. I use the StatPress Reloaded plugin on all my WP sites -- and I found some that had as much as 10-12 Megs overhead in the StatPress Reloaded field.

My question, if anyone reading this knows, is this: How does accumulating overhead values of several Megs affect the performance of the site? Does it have anything to do with slower or faster page loads?

It's not a high traffic site right now but it has been and will be a little later in the year. The other day I was making changes on a lot of pages, just changing some text but I don't think something like that would have done it, have no idea. But when searching on the problem, others had it as well and then somebody with the same problem, had a solution, what I linked to above and it worked like a charm.

Holy crap! This post reminded me to check my own blog, which I saw was working fine. However, I noticed that 4 plug-ins required updates, so I went ahead and told WP to do the updates.

Now my blog is disabled completely, with the message "Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute."

I can't access the login page or anything else on the site.

Update: The solution for this problem is here (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/%E2%80%9Cbriefly-unavailable-for-scheduled-maintenance-check-back-in-a-minute%E2%80%9D)

Delete maintenance.php in root directory, doesn't it? I have the same problem because of slow connection when updated new wordpress version.
