This may be a stupid question for some of you but I want to make sure what I am seeing is correct.

I have my URL's re-written, however, I have been watching my logs and as googlebot goes through them, my logs show the "actual" url, and not the bot friendly one.

Is it supposed to look that way or should I see googlebot accessing the re-written url's?

Call up your web page, and view the HTML - what do you see? The "actual" URLs or the bot friendly ones?

It's not use just re-writing the URL's, you have to edit your HTML as well!

I took a look, the URL's that are used in the HERF statements are the BOT friendly ones.

My BOT friendy link is as below from the document source:

    <a href='http://www.mysite.com/category.php/key/Low-Cost-Dental-Plan'>Low Cost Dental Plan</a>

When this link is accessed or spidered I see this in my log:

    /category.php?key=Low-Cost-Dental-Plan

My log looks to me like the dynamic page is being accessed. I guess what may main question is, How should your logs look? Should it show the rewritten URL being accessed, or should it log the dynamic address that is displaying?

    Hi David,
Don't worry, actually this is how url rewrite works.

The logs should show two entries - the bot friendly one with a 302 code, then the rewritten one with a 200 code.
