Smile Deciding between ShareASale, TradeDoubler/Performics and Media Trust
    Hello All,

I've seen a lot of good comments about SAS in the forum and their pricing is right on the website. I am wondering if anyone has worked with TradeDoubler/Performics or Media Trust? What are their costs and how are their services?

    Thanks so much!!!

    TradeDoubler/Performics?

Media Trust is a different kind of network than Shareasale is. What kind of network you want to work with will depend on your product or service.

    Hi,

This is how I found TradeDoubler:
    TradeDoubler -http://www.tradedoubler.com/

We are trying to promote telecom services (voip, online fax, call forwarding). We have a pretty solid customer base and we would like to increase new sign-ups. I would love to know what you think about SAS or Media Trust for us.

    Thanks!!

The reason I asked the way I did is that Performics is now Google Affiliate Network and is not connected to Trade Doubler.

I worked with Media Trust which has a combination of email, search and banners. Didn't have spam or fraud complaints. Was a bit frustrated with the landing pages as they created them but we had to host them and apply their analytics. No longer working with that merchant so I can't tell you how it ended up.

As Loxly said Performics affiliate network was sold to Google as well as the DoubleClick media network. Performics search was split off.

TradeDoubler is a European network headquartered in Sweden. Depends on what your goal is.

Shareasale is highly represented here at ABW. I consider it the 4th largest network, very ethical and inexpensive. They are a true affiliate network and not a CPA/offers network.

thanks everyone for your responses. they are very helpful.

hi Chuck, you are saying you would consider SAS as the 4th largest affiliate network..i know CJ and LA must be 1st or 2nd but what's the 3rd?

One more question. I've been doing research online and I am confused...

As Chuck mentioned in his response, what's the difference between the "true affiliate network" and the "CPA/offer network"?

I'm sorry if this question is stupid. I just need some help.

    Thank you!

The #3 network Chuck was referring to is probably Google.

With SAS, for example, you create your affiliate program, manage it and work with your affiliates.

The CPA/offer network have their own affiliates who promote your offer.

thanks, greg! that is REALLY helpful.

so is Media Trust a true affiliate network? or it's more of a CPA/offer marketing agency?

Well, they are will probably say they're a "true" affiliate network but as Chuck used the term they are a CPA/offer network. You work with them and they have their affiliates push your offer. You don't create an affiliate program with them or recruit or even know who is promoting you.

I consider the Top 4 Networks:

    CJ
    GAN
    LS
    SAS

LinkShare was the largest but it seems to be in steady state. They have many large brands though which is their forte.
