I didn't even know there was an olympics until I saw the google logo changed.. and then I had to click it to see what it was all about.

    Still.. no interest really.

Yeah I'm lovin' it all. Watching the Aussies in the pool, well you can't get much better than that... Seeing our girls win the 4x100m Freestyle Relay and break the WR, excellent stuff... and watching our Thorpey and Hackett fight it out in the 400m final (after all the brouhaha that went on with Thorpey's disqualification in the trials) well you can't get much better than that... to an Aussie anyway.

    It's great we've got Gold
Good to see Thorpie and Hackett at it, but our women's Volleyball is powering along too.

Sad about Jamie Pittman, our boxer... to lose by one point after he flatted the other guy...
Roy and HG had some interesting things to say about that

If it's for the same reason of what I was thinking this morning when I saw it while channel surfing, then I agree with (what a great group of athletes)

I think we're thinking along the same lines. Years of hard work and training culminating in the Olympics and the spirit of competition between nations. Plus we both like sports played in sand?

Well I'm British, so about the only things we'll win will be pretty obscure like tiddlywinks.

Not a bit Olympics fan. However, my traffic over the weekend was dreadful so I think a big chunk of my visitors are!

It was amazing. I have been glued to the TV most of the weekend. Great many see athletes beating all odds to get there is unbelievable. I love under dogs who win like the South African 4x100 Relay swim team! Wow! Also love the anchor for Netherlands, Pieter van den Hoogenband! Cool name. Sounds familiar from Sydney I think.

I also loved the Portugal vs US men's basketball game. Very enjoyable!

Even though Canada has not won a medal yet, it's still fun to watch.

While I prefer the winter games I was amazed by the gymnastics team yesterday. How anyone can flip that many times without a stunt crew is beyond me. I watched the South Africans win the relay too. Awesome job by the contenders. I think the US would have had a better chance if it weren't for their first swimmer. I heard he had the worst time of everyone.

Tamborine: As per your request, click here.

Heyder: I heard Peter Phelps has the slowest time and was number 2 no? Must have been too many races

Just heard that after the Chinese diver fell from the 1 Meter diving, the Russin and US divers made big mistakes right after and Greece ended up with the Gold Medal! Wow, another under dog! yeah! Also heard there was a yahoo who was on the diving board at the otehr end of the pool.

I'm an underdog supporter myself. Always root for the home team but it's nice to see someone work hard for something and win no matter who it is.
