RESOLVED: Webmerge Help not opening in windows 7 64
Not sure if I am the only one experiencing this but when i try to open the webmerge help on the toolbar under Help/Webmerge Help... nothing happens.
I have to go to the 4W WebMerge/WebMerge_Help folder and click on WebMergeHelp.html to open the help screen. I am using windows 7 64

    cheers fabio

    Which version of WebMerge?

The most recent version is 2.6, available here:
    WebMerge - Download

If it's any earlier version you may find that addressed in that build.

If you still see this in v2.6 let me know and I'll look into it for v2.7, which is in development now.

    Hi Richard!

    Doesn't work for me either.
    WM Ver. 2.6 (4/3/2010)
    Win 7 Home Premium

Both F1 and the help pulldown don't so anything.

I've put together a test build to see if this fixes the issue - please try this download:

    http://www.fourthworld.com/products/...b2.Windows.zip

Note that that's the application only. To use, just unzip it and drop it into your existing WebMerge folder and run it from there.

Please let me know if it addresses the Help issue. If so, I'll make full installers for it and post it as v2.6.1.

    Thanks-

First try with F1 resulted in a popup that said "Couldn't find the WebMerge Help Files." This was by running the exec file inside the zip file in explorer.

I then moved the file to the appropriate directory "Program Files (x86)" No response.

I rebooted and tried again. No Response.

I'll let you know if I find anything else.

I just posted a fresh build for you to test the Help issue:
    http://www.fourthworld.com/products/...b3.Windows.zip

Please let me know how it works for you. If it goes well I'll make a full installer and post it to the public site.

    Thanks -

    Success!

Moved new b3 executable to original install directory, and works great. Brings up default browser (Firefox for me), and displays this file (/WebMerge_Help/WebMergeHelp.html).

    Thanks Richard.

Thanks for the confirmation, Fred. I'll post the full installer to the web site in the next day or so.
