Hi Arthur, I moved your thread to the Search Engine forum. No I don't think it saves time, I never go to the Google homepage to search, I always use the browser search box. It would take more time for me to change the way I search

I think a lot of people don't go to the Google home page, they use their browser bar or the toolbar box. I know very few people that actually go to the home page to search. Why bother when you can search from your browser bar?

I find it more irritating than anything else. The suggestion tool was nice but having the page constantly flickering and changing as I search is annoying.

Personally I do most of my searches (if I know what I'm searching for) in my browser window. But if I'm doing research I often will go to Google, just so I can wade through pages and pages of information....

Wow, don't know if that sounds sarcastic or depressing...

It's a pain in the butt. I don't use it and it's always in my way. On top of that their SERP sucks. They are doing everything to push their followers to use something else. They are on their way out. It's not going to happen soon, but slowly...

But this quite disturbing why you make an type error on the search page and result stops popping out , then it waits for your click on the search button. I would prefer using Google tool bar for search result.

Your initial search might be from the toolbar box, followup searches are from the page, right?

Saves time or not it gives me more results, sometime stuff that I didn't know could have existed and could have been useful.

I use the browser search box to enter directly. I don't feel so comfort with the latest update of Google. I think still now most of the people are using the old way because we're habituate to use browser box.
