message boards/social profiles -> valuable content?
How effective are these social aspects to search visibility. Over time social content will build up, but will it be valuable content?

My experience has been that any "social traffic," i.e., Facebook, Twitter, even from most forums, is from people who read or browse. Very few of them click or buy.

Social bookmarking may get your site initially indexed quicker in Google, but don't rely on such traffic to buy anything.

But again -- that's just been my experience. Others' findings may vary!

I see what you mean, but
what if the forums, message board or social network is within my site. Will whatever these people talk about increase my search visibility, as more and more content is created through time?

Thanks for your response and sorry for not being as clear
