Question Datafeeds - title, description, category - SEO?
    Hi,
I want to use product datafeeds from shareasale and cj but I know that many many other websites using same datafeeds and for me that mean same product title, same description etc. but for me that mean BAD SEO = bad google rank...

Do you using datafeeds, do you editing products description or...?

    Thanks.

If you are smart you do some customizing. Moving thread to the Datafeed forum.

Nope. I use them just like they are and have good sales. It's worked for me every since 1998.

"Back in the day" when I was a successful datafeed affiliate, I always changed *something* even if it was just the category structure to make my sites different from others using the same datafeed. BB, I'm glad you are having success using them "out of the box" but are you just plopping them out there or are you aggregating information and rearranging it and blending multiple merchants on the same page? That counts as "changing" it too, IMO.

Yes. Just about every product page comes up on the first page in the search results on G.

I use the feeds just like they are and the template builds every page exactly the same with just different products on them and the meta tags are just for that product and that is the only product on that page.

The program I use auto builds a site map for each feed and I submit the site map to G.

The script uses php and mysql databases.

I can put out a new feed in about 10 minutes.

I use this script Price Tapestry | Price Comparison Script

I've been using it since 2005.

I'm using my own tool, Moderator Note: Removed URL. The only this I change is the category structure. On some sites I also add content, like category or merchant descriptions. And I always use multiple feeds for a site, mixing the products to create unique pages at least.
