Swarm Seattle! $30 for 6 "premium" movie tickets
Last Monday, we had a $30 for 6 movie tickets Groupon. These are premium movie tickets, which means they're good for IMAX, first runs, regular movies, etc. We ran it in a smaller market and it made a nice size explosion.

Well, I just found out this same deal is running in Seattle, but you don't have to be a resident of Seattle to take advantage of it. So I say, swarm Seattle!!!

I've updated our dynamic banners to feature this deal, so if you already have them on your site, they should reflect the new creative in both messaging and landing page.

I picked some of those up last week! I haven't used them yet, but will later this month. I took the kids to the movies this weekend, but it was a $5 early bird rate anyway, so it wouldn't have saved anything. We'll be going to go see Tangled in 3D when it comes out, and we'll definitely get a great value out of using our tickets for that!

I just love it when creatives update remotely! It is like a showroom window for the merchant to put what's hot right now out there all over the place - and beats the heck out of dropping everything to make a change that will be out of date in hours. It's a win-win

I'm debating on using them for the Midnight Showing of Harry Potter. It's a tradition in my family we go every time, at Midnight, regardless!

The creative change is fun...it's like CTank is the(wo)man behind the curtain!

    Good for Canada?
Is this coupon good for Canada too? I sure hope so as it's a great deal that myself and readers would enjoy!

Hey JSwill, it's good anywhere Fandango works. If you want to check if your city is there, go here

And it's also good anywhere MovieTickets.com works, so we're back in business for Canada

    edit to add:
I just found out that Fandango no longer services Canada.

I'm getting a lot of questions in our inbox about whether or not these are good toward IMAX tickets. The answer is YES, they are good toward the purchase of IMAX tickets. You get a $10 voucher that you can use toward the purchase of an IMAX ticket, but if the ticket costs more than $10, you're going to have to pay the difference.

Sorry for any confusion, I'm sending this out in an updated newsletter as well and letting our copy guys know about the confusion!

JSwill!! I was misinformed...Fandango no longer services those cities, I just found this on their site:

"Fandango does not currently have any partner theaters in Canada. This means that you may find movie schedules for some theaters in Canada, but you will not be able to purchase tickets on our web site for these theaters."

I'm adjusting the creative now, don't kill me... they just told me about this this morning. I'm going to create a second set of dynamic banners good for Canada only and will let you know when those are ready! Actually, that's something we should be doing anyway. Hmm. I like that idea.
