I made a personal commitment to lose weight
Found that what worked for me is to have friends hold me accountable for my weight loss efforts.

There's this app on Facebook where you can make a pledge to do something (whatever works for you) to get healthier.

Mine was to watch what I eat. You go to Health Promotion Board, Singapore | Facebook like that page and then click on the Healthy Tog tab to launch the app. Then you make your commitment.

If you want a constant reminder to stick to it, you can make it your profile pic. (That's what I did anyway)

The flip side is that all my friends on FB would rib me each time I stuff my face like a pig. But if that's what it takes, I'm all for it!

Good Luck in your weight loss. It takes a lot to make a commitment to being healthy when you've developed certain habits. It doesn't mean that it is impossible. I'm glad you realize that. Keep us posted.

Thanks for the link you have posted. I have checked and did my pledge with their tool. Anyway it requires the face book login and I have created a new facebook account.

Patience, controlling your cravings and self discipline should also be taken into consideration as your added foundation to your commitment success. All the best on your goal.
