Just got this email from a merchant, and was wondering if it is just a crock of "you know what" ? What do you think ?

    -------------------------------------
You may have noticed an absence of "Advertiser Name" transactions over the past few days.

*** All transactions submitted by your visitors HAVE been collected and will be manually entered. ***

My apologies, as I failed to update the tracking pixel after changing the source codes to reflect 2003. The gap occurred between January 3rd and January 6th.
    ----------------------------------------

Sounds like BS to me, but if they are telling the truth , do advertisers have to change something to reflect 2003 ? Could care less about this advertiser, what I am more concerned about are others that may not be reporting sales .

Very good question for Todd to answer. Might account for the fact I haven't recorded one sale for any CJ merchant in Y2003. Of course I haven't really chosen any new ones or showcased the old ones till the CoC issue has been resolved. You think on 1129 clicks someone would have bought something other than an eBay registration.

    Lisa,

It sounds to me like that advertiser sends transactions in a batch to CJ and something in their code broke that has stopped them sending transactions.

We use CJ as both a publisher and an advertiser.

On our publisher account we have been sending sales to CJ automatically with no problems and no code changes.

On our advertiser account we have received credit for sales from 10+ publishers.

The merchant in question is Zoobooks

    -------------------------------------

    Dear Publishers,

Happy Holidays to everyone, and thank you for a great 2002!

You may have noticed an absence of Zoobooks transactions over the past few days.

*** All transactions submitted by your visitors HAVE been collected and will be manually entered. ***

My apologies, as I failed to update the tracking pixel after changing the source codes to reflect 2003. The gap occurred between January 3rd and January 6th.

I apologize about any inconvenience this may have caused.

Keep an eye out for better communication and helpful upgrades to the Zoobooks program in 2003.

Please call or email if you have any questions.
Best wishes for a successful New Year!

CJ still seems to be working for me.

I've had more than a dozen sales via CJ in 2003, and I haven't changed any of my CJ links since well back into December. Most are a lot older than that.

    Here is the answer:

No, there is nothing to update. Everything continues running as usual.

    So what's with Zoobooks?

What they are saying is that they updated their server application code that runs their website and in the update the code for the CJ tracking pixel was left out therefore none of the sales were reported. They will now enter them into CJ manually.

    Cheers!

No Problem with CJ here. Made good money, a lot of transactions.
The Issue must be merchant related.
