Exclamation Facebook Users Think Social Networking Spam is a Problem
A new F-Secure survey reveals that as many as 78 percent of Facebook users polled think spam has become a problem on the world’s largest social network; more than 30 percent deal with spam on a daily basis

San Jose, Calif. – November 24, 2010 — Facebook became the world’s largest social network by giving users a cleaner more intimate way to connect with friends and family. Yet social networking spam is now a problem for three out of four Facebook users according to an international survey* of Facebook users conducted by F-Secure. 78 percent think spam is a problem on the site and 49 percent report they frequently see something in their newsfeed that they consider spam.

I think it's funny that the F-Secure Facebook Fan page got their first spam message right after they started this survey last week.

Maybe that public perception of spam being a problem on Facebook is one of the major reasons why Facebook is suing spammers?
