    A Bully Finds a Pulpit on the Web
    There has been some talk about search engines and Google lately. This New York Times article pretty much says it all. It's long, but a good read.

    It centers around how bad publicity/consumer complaints actually can help the Google ranking of online merchants. In fact, one company said they use it as their advertising strategy.

    "Is it true, as Mr. Borker says, that Google is unable to distinguish between adulatory buzz and scathing critiques when it scours the digital universe and ranks the best and the brightest? " .................

    Shoppers determine what has value and they like coupons. Stop manipulating who set the cookie just because you do not like coupon and promotional sites.

    That is a very interesting article, looks like the one simcat was referring to here: Bad Reviews? Bring em on! - ABestWeb Affiliate Marketing Forum, but I had a little trouble with that link.

    Yep. It's the same article. I didn't see her post.. sorry! But, wow, it just amazes me that it took an article from the New York Times to get any action for Ms. Rodriguez.
