    Hey All,

I made the mistake of looking for a domain name and while there, I relapsed and bought several I really thought I had the addiction beat but I guess I will have to stick with counseling for now.

Anyways, I came across a 5 letter domain name which to me is still a little rare. I ended up buying it and was just curious as to what kind of site you would develop on it. The name is nuttv.com . A couple ideas are to maybe make it a content site with my spin on TV programs. Maybe comedys or maybe even give my assessment of current events in the news. Perhaps a msg board?? Then sell some TV related products. I suppose I could sell nuts on it, lol. I figured I would put the name on here as a conversation piece and see what ideas are a round. Thanks all

    Nuttv.com, hmmmmm.

Ummm, I suppose you could go for some dry humor... make the site look like a real cable channel.

"Nut TV, 'Nothing But Nut' , 24 hours of nuts, serving Squirrels everywhere.

You could have controversial breaking news articles, such as The Horrible Squirrel Hazing Incident

You could have a squirrel review different types of nuts....... I bet you'd even rank pretty high for some nut giftbasket keywords, lol.

jeeese, I dunno. I'm still trying to figure out why I purchased ubunghole.com , lol.

Lmao Elbow And I thought I was bad. I could always just base the site around Fox News It doesn't get any nuttier than that. Here comes the flames

I had thought about making it a monthly awards site, and sending ubunghole awards ( t-shirts and trophies ) to stupid celebrities.

That sounds like an awful lot of work, though. I think I'll just stick to product sales, heh.

I think that's a great domain name, Packy!

I'm amazed by the number of people who purchase entire seasons of TV shows. That must be really expensive, and a good item to offer.

Good luck with your new site!

Lol Rhea, It would probably take me months just to write my views on Sean Hannity. I won't get into the others

Lol Qball, I already have a toy site that doesn't do anything. Besides, I know nothing about the topic

Lol Falcon, I thought about the nuts and bolts though. When I looked around the engines for the name I think I came across a show or something called nuttv or something similar. Thanks

Netsu, when I seen the name I really liked it. I'm probably leaning towards a content site and will probably try to cover a few shows and news programs perhaps. Then do pretty much what you are suggesting, sell maybe DVDs, books and so on, thanks for the suggestions all

As a matter of interest, how important do fellow members consider a short or snappy domain name?

I have been of the view that, since most traffic comes from SE's, bookmarks and links, a memorable/snappy name, while it is nice, is not really that important in traffic terms.

Prestige, etc aside, and bearing in mind SE algorithms, www.buy-cheap-blue-widgets-online.eu.com might be a better domain name than www.WidgetWorld.com.

    Any thoughts?
