Gates: Microsoft to Tackle the Spyware Problem
    By David Coursey
    October 4, 2004

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.—Microsoft chairman Bill Gates says he's never had a computer virus, but that adware and malware have him ticked off enough that Microsoft plans to do something about them. Precisely what that might be Gates didn't say, although the figure "hundreds of millions" of dollars was mentioned.

I hope he would come up with a "Good" solution to the adware problem. Not like Norton that entirely wipes off even the legitimate sites.

More likely he'd buy Ad-Aware ot SpyBot and build them into IE.
