    Hi all,
Went live last week with a site that tracks eTopps cards. We're using the ebay editor kit to promote bids and it's going great. A couple of questions that I haven't been able to find.

    1. If I have user ID numbers, is there a way to get those to track through the editor kit so we can track which of our users are providing the most bids?

    2. Assuming #1 is yes, is it against any rules to provide bid kickbacks to our users? Some of them make 20+ bids a day and it would be nice to say "For every bid you give us, we'll give you a point to spend on ???"

    Appreciate it!

    Mike

PS: If you've ever collected sports cards, check out our new site: http://www.cardtarget.com/ or the main etopps site at http://www.etopps.com/

Answered my own question about #2... it's not allowed according to eBay. But #1, I still can't find.

Here is the example of what i'm asking... the page below has the editor kit in it. Now, the links to the auction start with http://www.qksrv.net/click-XXXXXX-9254938? and I know the second number there is the tracking number that will allow me to track users... but how do I change it?

You don't want to change that second number! it is CJ's number for the editor toolkit link. To track individual users you can use the SID feature by adding ?SID=xxxxx to the url (or &SID=XXXX as the case may be). THis can be dynamically generated or hard coded, however only by dynamically generating them can individual users be tracked.

For more info on SID's you can download CJs handy guide for SID's. I forget where I got it but use the ASK A QUESTION feature and they will sort you out.

    oh, and welcome to ABW!

You can probably use the SID to do this.

I would say: he has to utilize the SID parameter to do this.
