We just found out that a member of my site has had a tragedy. Her husband was hurt badly in Iraq, and they got hit by Hurricane Jeanne.
She just told us about it the other day:

If anyone can find it in their hearts to help this family, it will be greatly appreciated. Even $1 helps, and I am matching all donations.
Please, please, no political discussion in this thread. This is not about politics, it is about a family that is suffering.
When I talked to Michele today, she said her huband will probably lose his leg now too. He has brain damage and bad post traumatic stress.

Connie what absolute tragedies they are having to face. Having worked with head injury for many years as well as having spent some time working in the 3rd largest VA hospital in the Nation, I can appreciate the long road they have ahead of them. And that's not even the damage to their home from the hurricane. I am sure they are very appreciative of the support being given by the FW community and I hope some here will join in also.
If I may suggest that you might want to alter the title of this thread. Maybe "Please Help Family of Sailor..." I almost didn't come in here because I assumed it was a political thread. The only reason I did click thru was when I noticed it was in Midnight Cafe.

Thanks again to everyone who has donated. This lady has been a member of my site for some time, it hurts more when it hits people you know.
