Is it safe to put affiliate links to open in a new window, or will they get blocked from some of the pop-up blockers??

I open all my links in a new window, from what I have read here on ABW none of the blockers block a new window they only block popups.

I agree with Gordon, I have tried this with the pop up blocker installed but it doesnt stop the link to open in a new window.

Unless, somebody has window blocker installed.........lol

I read a thread on another board that because the user clicked on the link, that identified a desire for the user to see what was loading in that window so pop-up blockers and IE's new pop up filters do not block this. However, if it opens two windows, then the window deemed to be a pop-up will be blocked.

And yes, I always open up links into a new window if they are leaving my main site.

I've seen XP Security Pack 2 block genuine new windows, but only a few coded solely via javascript. None of the main pop-up blockers block target="_blank" new windows.

    Or maybe not.

I have noticed several times now that when i click my links they are blocked by google popup blocker. Then, when i close my site and enter again, its fine, links are opening again.

Dont know why is that so??

Yeah, I noticed that on my old Win 98 PC when it was running out of resources.. sometimes the Google popup blocker would malfunction.
