I am having problems making my pages look nice without the use of banners and images. However, I am quickly finding out even though they look nice, they load too slow for the likings of shoppers on a 56K dial up. What is the max page size that would be reccomened for affiliate pages?

There is no max page size. I've had pages that have exceeded 200KB that loaded fast. I've now got some pages at 150KB that 56K users tell me load very fast with no waiting.

It's all in how you design the pages. You've probably got one large table with other tables inside of it. Get rid of the one large table and use multiple tables.

If you want to go with one large table, a 30KB page will take about 5 - 10 seconds to load at 56KB.

If you want me to take a look at your page and make suggestions for getting it to load faster, send me a PM.

I keep mine as small as possible.

25k is pushing it. I want it to load fast, waiting pisses me off, imagine what it does to paying customers. I save on bandwidth expenses, to boot.

Broadband customers have more money. Open up those pipes and feel the joy.

As far as the page size is concerned use 770 pixels wide. It looks good on any screen size.
