Congratulations Haiko! It seems like yesterday that you were asking our opinion on the cj forum on the abw logo!

Well done Haiko, it is very well deserved and speaks volumes for your morals and ethics.

Let me say this about that...

Having been in sales of one kind or another for 25 years...
I can sell sand to an Arab when I’m talking to him face to face...
But... I had to find a way to transfer those skills to the internet...

So I started lurking on various boards and forums around the
net to learn what it takes to sell effectively on the web...
There are some pretty good boards out there... but, after lurking
for a year or so... this is the only affiliate board that I have joined...

Here are my top 10 reasons for joining Abestweb...

    10. Some of the daily chuckles are pretty good...
    9. People here are generally friendly...
    8. Members with experience willing to share with newbies...
    7. Spirited debate allowed...opposite opinions are tolerated...
    6. I think I finally have something to give back...
    5. Dissenters are generally not blocked or removed without reason...
    4. Picked up much info on how to implement net sales strategies...
    3. Found several success tips from members that really worked...
    2. Affiliate activists here working to make parasites accountable...

And the # 1 reason that I joined Abestweb...
    1. I learned what NOT to do....

Congrats Haiko for keeping everything on track so it could
grow into what it is today... Best damn forum out there...

I would like to repeat what I said over nine months ago here:

    posted October 20, 2003

    <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>
Be advice that this site can make you addicted, that once you start reading the posts here you may have loss many hours of sleep and productiveness, and that we are not responsible if you are here learning about Affiliate Marketing instead of working on your site .....
    <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

As of today July 30, 2004 I am still more addicted to the ABW affiliate marketing board and spending more time here than on building pages.

I know that I must go work on my pages and take a break from here, but by the time I finish reading all the new stuff about the important affiliate marketing issues and the general entertaining general posts and the once in a while flame threads, it's time to hit the bed and the next day is the same thing.

The first thing I do is to go check my stats everywhere and then...... well, it just to be and then go work on my pages, but for the last two months..... and then I go to ABW.

If I don't join the ABW anonymous soon, I will not have my pages done before Dec 24 and I will miss the money season.

But anyway, it's only money, I rather learn more now and make more money later than keep on building more database targeted pages and after getting 1000's of targeted clicks, have my money stolen by parasites and the others crocks out there.

Since I am self-employed, I like to work for myself and not to share my money with parasites, I rather grow slow and honest than fast and dishonest.

So while I keep on learning, I don't mind saying that for better or for worse:

    I'M an ABW addict

    Sal.

I have a long way to go, and many steps to take, before I can succeed in the affiliate game. Joining ABW was my way of opening the door so I could finally stop walking into walls

The amazing thing is, that even with 15K+ members, it has the virtual family feeling attached to it .. out of all the websites on the internet, ABW feels like home.

I remember a post on ABW ikonboard version where haiko said that if we reach 100 members, we'll move to UBB !!!
