A simple javascript found at javascript.internet.com can disable the right click.
Be careful, some people use right click for navigation. This will lose them.

Will the script prevent viewing the source?

In Netscape, there is a VIEW menu item - I don't think the script would prevent anybody from using this. Also, one could save the page to their computer and copy it from there.

I would like to block copying as well on one of my sites.

Just a quick note - when you use these scripts - it makes updating your own site harder too. I right-click on my own sites a zillion times a day.

My feeling is anyone who wants to steal you code will do more than right-click anyway.

I guess I should have said earlier - but I need it for my auction description - so I won't be updating anything - it's kind of like a one time deal. No need for me to view code. I just don't want people stealing my pics.

Hey - I'm not a dude - I'm a girl! And thanks - I know that - but most people surfing around on Ebay don't know all that technical stuff as far as how to get through the java. I mean I know how to build a pretty hot looking webpage and I don't even know how to do it.

if I want to see the underlying code of a Web page I can usually "save as" in IE and save to an internal location in my computer -- as a whole web page -- . at that time I can open my copy and view the source without any problem.

don't know if this can be prevented by blocking methods, though . . .

    JadaKiss...
I do the html on our sites but I'm not too good at fancy programing...
My son handles all of that stuff... What he does to protect important code...
is to write perl scripts that reside on the server...
The script is called and executed by the program...
All that ever shows in the source code is the call for the script...
No one gets to see the script code... Might be some scripts floating
around out there that do the same thing...

If you want to show your picture on the internet, someone can easily steal it. simple as that.

But JadaKiss, that will not help you. All perl, php etc code is hidden, that is the nature of the code. That will not help you here. If you show an image, it has to be able to be seen.
