    How does one get a support answer from LinkShare
    Among the long list of things I HATE about Linkshare, the latest is that I want a simple question answered and I can not get someone to reply to my support email sent via their contact page.

    I loath LinkShare so much that I avoid using merchants in LinkShare, however it has come to a time,where a merchant I need is only in LinkShare. So I have received and deposited my first bank cheque and now want to be able to receive payments into my Australian bank account, which it says they do, but ahhhhh, the option is simply not available in my account.

    So I have contacted them twice to enable it, but no reply. I see the sticky above here with their actual phone number, which I'll have to attempt.

    Hello: Normally, their Rep., Ranae, is very active here, but I haven't seen her on the forum for the past 4 or 5 weeks. I suspect she is on vacation or out sick.

    Normally, my emails to LinkShare Publisher Support have been answered in 1 or 2 business days. Once or twice, on Sundays, which surprised me.

    You can call LS on their phone number that is toll free, within the USA, using Skype, free.

    Also, you can probably call phone numbers in the USA and Canada, free, using Gmail.

    They have always fixed any problems I have had and have been very helpful to me.

    odd. I usually have no problem getting a response from them within a couple of days. unfortunately they've always been less than helpful.

    as far as direct deposit goes, I don't know if it's handled the same way internationally (if that's even an option), but before I could simply say direct deposit, I had to apply for it. once the application went through, it became my preferred payment method automatically.

    Yep this is my second attempt to contact them about the same problem and no reply either time. Seriously just a bit odd and rude.

    I shall attempt the phone call now.

    I believe this includes not only numbers that are toll free within the USA, but also regular fixed (POTS) phone numbers and cell phone numbers.

    BUT is it at all possible to set up some way that we can easily see for any given month if a first sale has been made by an affiliate?

    Liz said it would be difficult and not very accurate as to differentiate between first sale or if they were inactive for a while and just again started making sales

    It would be fairly difficult to determine when a publisher had made their first sale with the program. It would be possible to manually track if you searched through about the last 6 months instead of since the beginning of the program. Six months would be far less data than the entire lifetime of the program, and would still give you an idea of who was reactivating after being inactive for a long period of time.

    Hi Richard,

    We don't have a systematic way of doing that. An alternative to Liz's suggestion would be to keep a running record of all publishers you approved that month and then compare it with your sales report to see if anything matches. Once again it is a manual thing.

    I do think it is a good idea to have some sort of report/indicator that a publisher has just become order active in your program. I will forward that idea over to our product team and maybe they can come up with some way to indicate it to program managers.
