Missy Higgins, just arrived from HMV - love her song "scar" and the rest of the CD sounds great too.

Unusual to hear an Aussie accent while she sings too, normally you don't hear accents.

SandraR - I'm with ya girlfriend! Love that 70's soul vibe!!! :P

Actually I have a wide variety of tastes - you're in for it now! Every morning I wake up with first morning coffee at my desk here listening to a nicely compiled calming cd mix of Stereolab, Boards of Canada, Bjork, Portishead, and Tricky.

The afternoon is complete with netradio from iTunes, iTunes, and more iTunes...

    My favorite iTunes stations....

    Electronica:
    Beat Blender - A late-night blend of deep-house, downtempo & fuzed jazz

DI.fm Deep House - Silky, sexy, deep house music direct from New York

Jazzmusique - Smooth & Stylish Downtempo from NETMUSIQUE

    Urban:
(((WeFunk))) - 100% uncut funk. quality hip-hop. rare grooves.

Boombastic Radio - The global home of streaming funkanology

    Top 40/Pop:
Virgin Radio UK - Today's best music and classic tracks, live from London, UK

HitzRadio.com - Playing the hottest hitz, all day, from Ontario, Canada

    * * *

    Don't have iTunes?

iTunes for PC: Get it here

iTunes for Mac: Get it here

(no, I don't have stock in Apple - I just really love their products and think everyone deserves to have a little iTunes in their life)

Pearl Jam - Live @ Benaroya Hall.

I tried (hard) to get tickets to this show because I knew it would be something special. Now that I hear the performance I'm even more upset that I didn't get tickets.
Benaroya Hall is the symphony hall in Seattle and PJ played, for the most part, an acoustic set. It kicks @SS...

I'm with Last Hope, Joss Stone is Aritha Franklin trapped in the body of a sixteen year old white girl from England. I was shocked when my wife was playing it and showed me Joss' picture... I thought "Milli Vanilli"

    Clay Cotton - Rough Stuff

Normally I listen to "Heavy Metal/Alternative", Metallica, Megadeth, Slip Knot, but every once in a while I get in the mood for something more mellow...

I can't concentrate on heavy duty page building with any background noise at all.

I read a similar thing once in a newspaper under the title "stuff you only know if you work from home". The woman who wrote the article couldn't work with the radio or cd's on either, so there's at least two of us.

This was one of only two benefit shows put together in support of Youth Care.
They've done a couple of shows lately as part of the Get Out the Vote campaign but no real tour I'm afraid.

Right now, it's a MP3 of Yes - Big Generator. Great album, haven't listened to it for ages.

Jane's Addiction (punk rocker in the 80s) or Lynard Skynard (raised in the south) is all I mostly listen to.

"Tuesday's Gone" is one of my all-time favorite songs.

Right now I have my personal mix playing - Dido, Leonard Cohen, Limp Bizkit, Outkast, Coldplay, Keane, Massive Attack and Wir sind Helden.

But when my toddlers are around, we normally play Trini Lopez and his greatest hits.

Waylon and other Classic Country artists will always rule my sound systems. Nice smooth cawntry sounds. No ear-shattering noises playing here!

I'm listening to The Tragically Hip, with some Colin James thrown in. Maroon 5 once in awhile too, but only when that one popular song of theirs comes up on shuffle.
