I'm thinking about joining Shareasale.com. What are your thoughts about their service?

    Good question Darkstar 7!

There was a topic on the Shareasale board that linked to an even larger topic on the Linkshare board that will give you a lot of folks opinions of Shareasale.Click here to check 'em out!

I think ShareASale is now where CJ was five years ago - working hard to give merchants and affiliates a good service.

Let's ShareASale maintains the level of service as they get bigger - we do good business through CJ, but it's getting harder to get anyone to respond to requests.

OK, not to spam the board since I just posted this in another thread.

But, to save you the effort of clicking on a link, here it is again.

    - SAS -
    - NO PARASITES
    - consolidated commissions from all merchants
    - Pays on time every month
    - more responsive: both the network and merchants
    - "make a page" option
    - the products section of a merchant is a lot easier to work with; you can choose one or more and make an entire website in no time with various merchants
    - free datafeeds
    - lets affiliates know when a merchant is low on funds
    - real time stats
    - links are not blocked by Norton and cookies not targeted by spyware removal programs
    - Almost all affiliates who make much money at this check them for merchants and use them
    - Unimpeachable reputation for honesty
    - Priced on the low side for a good network

Man, I gotta tell you guys everything.

I'm joining as an affiliate. I noticed that the type of store offerings are getting more interesting and unique.

    Thanks everyone.

I think I understand what you're saying, but I don't happen to use SAS yet - could you explain this one line item please?

Does SAS have direct deposit? Or do they mail hard copy checks?

SAS has both direct deposit or checks -- you choose.

    - lets affiliates know when a merchant is low on funds
SAS has the merchants deposit funds into their (merchant's account) to pay affiliates.

SAS posts a "low funds" message when a merchant's balance is ... low on funds.

SAS also immediately takes a Merchant offline if their balance goes negative -- and shows the Merchant offline.

Sometimes merchants forget to check their balance and their account goes offline -- then their links don't work, etc.

The only problem is We (affiliates) don't get a message that a merchant has gone off line or is low on funds. It's up to us to check in with SAS and see the status of the merchant.

Yet, this is the BEST way to insure we (affiliates) are paid on time and NOT have reversals due to Non-payment by Merchants.

    Continuing gettnthar's thought...

You can avoid the whole problem of merchants going offline because they don't have funds in their account by signing with Shareasale merchants who are part of their Certified Premier Merchant Program. Certified Premier Merchants must keep their account balance above $200 automatically by auto-deposit! UrbanScooters.com is part of that program and are never offline because we're low on funds.

Here's some info on their Premier Product Service Program. Affiliates can become certified and gain benefits as well.
